The Louisiana Ambulatory Surgery Center Association is the ONLY statewide, professional membership organization that represents the interests of licensed surgery centers. 

As part of a partnership agreement with LAMMICO, if your surgery center is insured with LAMMICO, they will reimburse 100% of your membership dues after you remit your dues to LASCA and a representative from your ASC attends a LAMMICO Risk Management Session.

Advocacy

LASCA has an experienced, registered lobbyist who monitors legislative and regulatory threats to licensed ambulatory surgery centers.  There is strength in numbers.  LASCA's primary role is to represent the interests of your surgery center. We closely monitor all legislation that moves through the legislative process and keep LASCA members informed legislation that would impact your ASC.  

Educational Opportunities

The 2025 LASCA Annual Meeting will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025 at the West Baton Rouge Conference Center.  For those needing AORN contact hours or CASC CEUs,  you can register for our recording of the annual meeting and the PowerPoint presentations from our informative presenters.   We have both virtual and onsite registration options available.

At our annual meeting, continuing education credit hours for registered nurses is provided through the Association of Peri-operative Registered Nurses (AORN) and CASC.  If you are an insured of LAMMICO, they will reimburse your LASCA dues after you participate in their risk management session offered during the LASC Annual Meeting.  

Communications

LASCA members receive regular e-Newsletters to keep them informed with what LASCA is doing on behalf of surgery centers and the patients you serve. 

Discount on Professional Liability Insurance through LAMMICO 

Thanks to a partnership agreement between LASCA and LAMMICO, LASCA members who are insured by LAMMICO are entitled to receive a 5% premium discount applied to your ASC facilities' medical professional liability premiums when you or one of your management staff participate in the risk management lecture presented by LAMMICO at the Annual Meeting. LASCA also reimburses the annual membership dues once the member ASC has successfully completed a risk management course offered by LAMMICO.

LASCA members, both administrators and clinical staff, have access to communicate with one another through our through our text messaging app.
