NEW SURGICAL SMOKE LAW
The Louisiana Legislature recently enacted a new law which requires all licensed ASCs and Hospitals in Louisiana to adopt and implement a written policy governing the removal of surgical smoke plume.
This new law, Act 35, went into effect on Tuesday, August 1st.

LASCA has scheduled a lunch and learn ZOOM call at 12 noon on Wednesday, August 16th to provide guidance to our members about the new state law.
